What is a Dash payment?
This is a fork of Bitcoin launched in January 2014 by developer Evan Duffield. Originally called XCoin, then Darkcoin, it was renamed Dash in March 2015 – a portmanteau of "digital cash" that better reflected its focus on speed and usability over anonymity.
What makes it different from Bitcoin is its two-tier network. The first tier is proof-of-work mining. The second is 3,800+ masternodes enabling InstantSend, ChainLocks (51% attack protection), and optional PrivateSend.
